Gujarat Waste to Energy Policy 2022
This policy encourages the disposal of municipal solid waste in more environment friendly manner and promotes utilization of municipal waste for energy generation by offering a range of incentives. It includes land lease at token rates, 20% grant in electricity cost and exemption from stamp duty/ cess/ royalties. By promoting waste-to-energy projects, the policy aims to reduce waste, create employment opportunities, and contribute to a sustainable energy future.
